​Positive COVID-19 Home Test Self-Report Tool

Please use the link above to the self-report form if you would like to report at-home positive COVID-19 tests. ​
Once reported, we will send you an informational packet with documentation that you may use for work or school. ​
Please note: This tool is for residents of Tuscarawas County, who live outside the city limits of New Philadelphia. New Philadelphia City residents should self-report to the New Philadelphia City Health Department.

TCHD provides an email distribution list for anyone who would like to receive weekly COVID-19 updates. These updates are typically sent on Thursday or Friday evenings. If time-sensitive information is released throughout the week, that will be shared via email as well. Please note:  As is our normal practice when we monitor situations of infectious disease in the community, information will be shared
as necessary to protect the public while balancing individual privacy.

​COVID-19 Testing & Home Test Kit Supply Available (Updated on 2/3/23):
Our COVID-19 home antigen test kits (un-proctored kits) are available for pick-up in our lobby. Distribution is limited to 2 tests per person while supplies last. Our building is open from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Wednesday; 8 am to 6 pm on Thursday; and 8 am to 4 pm on Friday. We are closed on holidays.  (For your convenience, while supplies last, home test kits are also available for pick-up at our partner locations at the Mineral City Library, Newcomerstown Municipal Building, Tuscarawas County Senior Center locations, Uhrichsville City Building, and Village of Tuscarawas Office.)

​If you currently have COVID-19 symptoms, please DO NOT enter our building; and call 330-343-5555, ext. 1000 when you arrive. A staff member will bring test kits out to your vehicle. 

TCHD has a separate request process for business kits, and business kits can be requested by completing an online form here (Please note that this link is only for use by businesses and organizations in Tuscarawas County and there is a limit of 45 tests per request while supplies last.): Click here for online request form.

COVID-19 CDC Community Level Rating by County

On February 25, 2022, the CDC updated their COVID-19 community recommendations. The CDC’s new COVID-19 Community Level tool classifies every county in the U.S. into low, medium, or high. Knowing the COVID-19 Community Level in our area will help determine what prevention measures are needed to protect yourself and your loved ones, as well as decrease strain on hospitals and health systems

​OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH OFFERS CALL CENTER TO HELP
​WITH COVID-19 QUESTIONS

 
The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) operates a call center to answer questions regarding coronavirus (COVID-19). The call center is open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and can be reached at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634).
 
Call center staff includes licensed nurses and infectious disease experts. They will be available to answer questions and provide accurate information about COVID-19, the risk to the public, and the state’s response.

2022-2023 COVID-19 K-12 School Information

The Tuscarawas County Health Department has worked diligently to serve as a resource to help local schools with the challenges of preventing the spread of COVID-19 in school settings and managing COVID-19 cases among students and staff. ​Please note: We will not be sharing information about individuals under public health supervision or under voluntary quarantine for COVID-19 in our county. These individuals are not showing any symptoms and are not under investigation. As is our normal practice when we monitor situations of infectious disease in the community, information will be shared as necessary to protect the public while balancing individual privacy. As with other diseases, we do not routinely share suspected case information until it is confirmed. The same will be done with COVID-19.
