Once reported, we will send you an informational packet with documentation that you may use for work or school.

TCHD provides an email distribution list for anyone who would like to receive weekly COVID-19 updates. These updates are typically sent on Thursday or Friday evenings. If time-sensitive information is released throughout the week, that will be shared via email as well. Please note: As is our normal practice when we monitor situations of infectious disease in the community, information will be shared
as necessary to protect the public while balancing individual privacy.

COVID-19 Testing & Home Test Kit Supply Available (Updated on 6/9/23):
Our COVID-19 home antigen test kits (un-proctored kits) are available for pick-up in our lobby. Distribution is limited to 2 tests per person while supplies last. Our building is open from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Wednesday; 8 am to 6 pm on Thursday; and 8 am to 4 pm on Friday. We are closed on holidays.
If you currently have COVID-19 symptoms, please DO NOT enter our building; and call 330-343-5555, ext. 1000 when you arrive. A staff member will bring test kits out to your vehicle.

Call center staff includes licensed nurses and infectious disease experts. They will be available to answer questions and provide accurate information about COVID-19, the risk to the public, and the state’s response.

The Tuscarawas County Health Department has worked diligently to serve as a resource to help local schools with the challenges of preventing the spread of COVID-19 in school settings and managing COVID-19 cases among students and staff. TCHD weekly COVID-19 are sent on Thursday or Friday evenings. If time-sensitive information is released throughout the week, it will be shared via email as well.
Please note: We will not be sharing information about individuals under public health supervision or under voluntary quarantine for COVID-19 in our county. These individuals are not showing any symptoms and are not under investigation. As is our normal practice when we monitor situations of infectious disease in the community, information will be shared as necessary to protect the public while balancing individual privacy. As with other diseases, we do not routinely share suspected case information until it is confirmed. The same will be done with COVID-19.
