Reproductive health services are broad-based, voluntary, and private. Family planning services help to:
  • Plan a healthy pregnancy
  • Provide Birth Control Options such as pills, Depo injections, Nexplanon, and IUDs
  • Screen for diseases or other health conditions
  • Provide STD testing and treatment
  • Improve pregnancy outcomes
  • Improve the health of mothers and babies.
All patients are welcome. Family planning clinics in Ohio receive grant funds to provide services. Priority for grant funds is given to persons having low incomes and those with no insurance, or insurance that does not cover reproductive health services. Fees for services are based on family size and income. There is no requirement that a person live in the area in order to receive services.

To find out more or make an appointment, call 330-343-5555 ext. 1810.

Funded through Federal Title X of the Public Health Service Act, Maternal and Child Health Block Grant and general revenue funds.

The Ohio Department of Health's Breast & Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP)

If found early, nearly all breast and cervical cancers can be treated successfully. In Ohio, most women have insurance coverage, and these screenings are typically covered by insurance at no additional cost for the patient. For women without insurance, there may be programs to help them receive these lifesaving screenings. To see if you qualify for free breast and cervical cancer screenings, please click the link below for more information:

Free Patient Navigator

The Tuscarawas County Health Department provides free services to individuals who need help applying for, selecting, and understanding medical insurance. Some of the services she offers include education on Medicaid, Marketplace, and private/employer insurance plans, navigating Healthcare.gov, access to providers, and how to use health insurance. It is important to note that while Medicaid enrollment is open all year, the open enrollment for Marketplace is November 1st – December 15th. In the case of a qualifying life event, you can sign up for health insurance through the Marketplace outside of the open enrollment window. The navigator works to make this process less complicated by completing the application for the client during their appointment. Appointments usually take an hour, however, more complex situations may take longer. The goal with every client is to help them make the best health insurance decision possible, based on their specific needs.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling  330-343-5555 ext. 1810.
