Health Commissioner 
Katie Seward, MPH, CHES, CTTS

Katie is the Health Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer for the Tuscarawas County Health Department. She was appointed by the Board of Health in 2016. Katie is a 2008 graduate of the University of Mount Union, and she received her Masters of Public Health (MPH) from The Ohio State University in 2010. Katie is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS). Katie's former employers include Licking Memorial Hospital and Walt Disney World.

Katie has been recognized as a STEM exemplar. Additionally, she has extensive public speaking experience which most recently includes being a presenter for the Ohio Public Health Association and a panelist for The Ohio State University College of Public Health.
